The St. James 2023 Spring Hockey 3 v 3 Ice Hockey
The STJ Spring Hockey 3v3 League is built to have fun and get a lot of puck touches! This league is designed to create small-area games for players working on transition play, puck possession, passing, and scoring. These small area games require goalies to learn a quicker game, with consistent movement, and include tight lateral movements as well as uninterrupted focus. Goalies participate in the STJ Spring Hockey 3v3 League at NO COST.
*PLEASE NOTE* - This league is intended for travel level players only. House level players are accepted at 8U and 10U Wales only.
Format:
- Minimum of four maximum of eight teams per league, 7-9 players plus one goalie per team.
- Two, 25 minute run time games will be played every game day.
- The season will consist of 10-regular season games plus two playoff games. Six game days total over an eight-week season.
- Cross-ice games are played at every level. No checking.
- Players will be drafted and placed onto teams by STJ Hockey Staff.
Rules:
- 3 points for a win, 2 points for a SO win, 1 point for a SO loss and 0 points for a loss
- All penalties result in a penalty shot
- Standard USA Hockey Rules
- Penalties can be assessed for players consistently taking shifts longer than 60 seconds
- No Checking
